I will be holding a workshop for any students who would like to practice and hone their technique!  This 4 hour works will allow you time to closely look at demonstrations, ask questions, and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.

I will cover the following topics:  How to make clouds, mountains, pine and leaf trees, rocks, buildings, water/water falls, and cutting in water lines using the following tools:  2″ brush, 1″ brush, filbert brush, liner brush, foliage brush and pallet knife.

This is the perfect time to relax, practice, ask all the questions you want and play!  Yes play!  Experiment to see what works for you without the “worry” of making a mistake on an actual painting (even though WE DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES WE HAVE HAPPY ACCIDENTS!).

All materials are provided (including 16X20 stretched canvases).  Students must bring with them a roll of paper towels and baby wipes.  There will be a 30 minute lunch break.  Please bring your own bag lunch and beverage.  There are no nearby fast food restaurants.

Be sure to wear clothing that you do not care about getting covered with paint.  Oil paints WILL NOT wash out.

Students will leave that day with a finished painting!  The oil will still be wet, so please use caution when transporting your painting home.

NOTE:  Class times vary due to composition of painting, number of students and student experience level.  Please plan accordingly.  All classes are open to students of all experience levels.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Class space is limited to 5 students.  Students must be at least 14 years old to take class.  There is no discount for the workshop.  This will not be included in your class count for “every tenth painting is half-price”. 

Please arrive 15 minutes before class start time to allow time to set-up your work area and pay for class.  Thank you!   Helpful Hint: Have your ROLL of paper towels pre-torn and ready to go.
